Partners in Prayer aims to introduce people to the land of the Bible by exploring God’s Word and traveling to the nation of Israel. We put wings to the mandate given to us by scripture, “I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you; and the entire world will be blessed because of you.” Genesis 12:3. Visiting the land of Israel is a great way to bless and be blessed!
2015 Israel Tour Highlights
Join Partners in Prayer as we journey to the land of the Bible, to the land of Yeshua (Jesus).
Arrival at Netanya on the Mediterranean
We will arrive and travel to the beautiful coastal town of Netanya on the Mediterranean Sea for our first night.
Caesarea / Mt. Carmel / Jezreel Valley
The next day we will start our journey going north to Caesarea where Peter met the Roman Centurion. On Mt. Carmel we will remember how Elijah met the prophets of Baal and how that message has meaning today as well as looking out over the Jezreel Valley (sometimes called Armegeddon). We will visit or be able to view other places that are equally of significance. We will arrive at the Sea of Galilee where we will stay in a kibbutz right on the shores.
Sea of Galilee
During the time in the Galilee area, we will visit the places where most of Yeshua’s ministry took place – Capernaum, Mount of Beatitudes, Korazim, Magdala, Banias (Ceasarea Phillipi) and travel up to the borders of Israel in the Golan Heights. We will stand and pray looking into Lebanon and Syria. There will also be a visit to an olive oil factory). A highlight is always our time at the Jordan River as we experience the waters of baptism (mikvah – immersion) showing a change of status in our walk with Yeshua and in preparation for the journey up to Jerusalem.
Dead Sea / Masada / Ein Gedi
From the Galilee we will journey south to the area of the Dead Sea to Qumran where the Dead Sea scrolls were found and where a community of Essenes were looking for the Messiah but missed Him. We will go to Herod’s mountaintop fortress, Masada and have an opportunity to relax in the waters of the Dead Sea after checking into our hotel. On the way to Jerusalem, we will visit “Nahal David” the freshwater spring at Ein Gedi Nature Reserve which is a lush oasis in the Judean Desert overlooking the Dead Sea.
Once in Jerusalem, we will look over the city as a blessing is pronounced. In Jerusalem, we will begin with an overview from the Mount of Olives and walk down the path to the Garden of Gethsemane then cross the Kidron Valley. We will visit the Upper Room on Mt. Zion, share a time of communion at the Garden Tomb, ascend the Temple Mount (site of the first and second temples), the City of David, The Davidson Center and the Southern Temple wall excavations. There will be time for prayer at the Kotel (the Western Wall); a time to remember and say “never again” at Yad Vashem (the Holocaust Museum) and a visit to Mahane Yehuda the marketplace.
There will be an opportunity for shopping, planting trees in remembrance of loved ones or for yourself, donating blood, plus new sites and other activities we will be sharing over the next few months.
As we travel through the land, we go with open hearts and minds to “hear and obey” (Sh’ma) what we hear the Almighty speaking to us. We will have prepared our hearts in such a way that we will know without a doubt that we will never be the same and will say, “next year in Jerusalem!”
